Westfield Donates Decorations to Julian
by Ruth Lepper

Mike Menghini and Ed Glass decorating the 65-foot tree nest to Pioneer Museum.

Holiday decorations are adding bright spots all around town, with Westfield Shopping- towns coming to the rescue. Toni Menghini took over planning the town decorations for the Julian Merchants Association after Suzanne Danielson lost her home during the Cedar fire and couldn’t continue working on the committee.

When Toni contacted the folks at Westfield, she was told to "come on down" and pick out whatever
was needed.
She did and the decorations were on their way up the hill a few days later. Mike Menghini and Ed Glass were soon up at the top of the 65-foot tree in the park
next to Pioneer Museum, stringing lights and putting the familiar gold star in place, ready for county Supervisor Dianne Jacob to throw the switch on Nov. 29.

Another 30 decorated trees were placed around town, while a half-dozen, bigger-than-life, stuffed bears found their special places to stand guard over the holidays. Giant wreaths added their own special touch.

Job well done, Toni and gang! And a great big thanks to Westfield Shoppingtowns!!!
