Edgewood, Ohio Middle School Cares about Julian Junior High

Anna Koonce, Principal Julian Junior High, explains to students that they are making a video to send to Edgewood Middle School about the assembly.

Edgewood Middle School in Ohio cares about us. During the Cedar Fire, kids in Ohio were watching and they were watching and they thought of helping us out. On Nov. 6, Julian Junior High School secretary Trudy Wells got a call from Edgewood Middle School, saying they saw us on television and wanted to help out.

So the kids did fund raisers to help. They called this Cougars Care About California. We got a video of the students helping out and how they feel about our county.

We ended up getting $600 from them. The money went to our fire victims at Julian Junior High. We have about 20 students whose houses burned during the fire.

We have the Edgewood Middle School address if anyone would like to write them a thank-you. We will be taking pictures of the kids receiving this donation.

Also we would like to make a video for the kids in Ohio. I thought that this was very nice that other people out of state care about people here who have been affected in this fire. I hope this makes the kids at Edgewood Middle School feel better knowing that this money made kids at Julian Junior High happier.
