RSVP: Volunteer Opportunities Abound

Volunteering during the holidays has become more popular over the years, but there is a continuing need for volunteers even after the holiday season. Take a look at some of the most recent opportunities:
• Home Start needs Volunteer Income Tax Assistance volunteers in the East County area. Call Paula Guerra-Lynch at (619) 401-8375.
• Shelter Pet Partners, with locations in El Cajon and Santee, need adoption counselors and kennel cleaners. Call Corrina Fitzgerald at (619) 249-2703.
• PAWS needs volunteers to deliver food two to three hours a week to the pets of low-income, chronically ill, disabled, hospitalized or elderly owners who can no longer afford or manage their care. Call Cathy Nelson at (760) 630-7297.
