Aging Summit Set For 2004
Biennial Forum to Meet Needs
of Baby Boomers
by Jim Evans

Yes, believe it or not, we’re getting older, folks — every one of us. But Aging & Independence Services, a division of the Health and Human Services Agency of San Diego County, is staying ahead of the game by hosting another Aging Summit on Monday, April 19, at the Community Concourse at 3rd and B streets in downtown San Diego.

Created by Supervisors Pam Slater and Dianne Jacob, the summit provides a community forum to discuss important issues regarding older and disabled adults in the county.

Among the topics to be discussed during the daylong event include successful aging; employment; volunteering; and marketing to seniors.

George Vaillant of Harvard University, author of "Aging Well," will be the keynote speaker at this biennial event. For more information, call (800) 510-2020.
