Supervisors Approve Final Map for Tombill Road Subdivision The Board of Supervisors approved a final map and secured agreements for a 66.2-acre subdivision at the eastern end of Tombill Road. The 5-0 vote Dec. 10 accepted the final map and the noise protection easement as granted on the map. The tract, owned by Arkegos Inc., will be subdivided into 13 single-family residential lots. The county’s Planning and Environmental Review Board approved a tentative map for the project in January 2003, and Arkegos Inc., has since satisfied all conditions in the resolution of approval, secured public and private improvements, and paid all fees and deposits. The map was reviewed for conformance with the Subdivision Map Act and the County Subdivision Ordinance. Plans also have been approved by the Ramona Municipal Water District, which will provide service to the project. A $166,300 performance bond has been placed in favor of the county to cover $148,283 for the improvement of streets and drainage, $14,517 for improvement of water facilities, and $3,500 for setting of final monuments. A labor and materials bond for $83,150 has also been placed in favor of the county to ensure payment for labor and materials used in the construction. Arkegos, Inc., has deposited a $5,000 check with the county’s Department of Public Works to ensure that any damage to existing county roads is repaired in a timely manner. |
