Julian B&B Guild to Host Spring Tour

by Bobbi Zane

Julian’s Bed and Breakfast Guild hosts a tour of six member lodgings on Thursday, May 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Inns are concentrated in three areas, making it possible to see each. They include Villa de Valor and Eagle Nest in town; Butterfield, Wikiup, and Lutz Castle in Whispering Pines; and Rainbow Hill off Highway 79 just south of town. Each has different appeals. Historic Villa de Valor is a Victorian creation and casual Eagle Nest has a swimming pool.  Butterfield holds brilliant rose gardens; Wikiup is home to llamas; and Lutz Castle is an historic adobe. James Hubbell-designed Rainbow Hill holds beautiful stained glass and mosaic objects.

Each inn will offer refreshments that reflect the breakfasts served to guests each morning.

Maps to the participating Inns are available for $10 at Julian’s Town Hall, the Wynola Pizza Express in Wynola, and Dudley’s Bakery in Santa Ysabel.
