Left to right: Scott Gaffney, George Duarte, Sherry Jarrett, Teresa Manley, Jeaneane Colombaro, Rory Cambra and Julie Edwards.

On April 29 the California Association of Mortgage Brokers presented four posterboard sized checks of $7,500 each (grand
total of $30,000) to four separate charities. The checks were presented to the Valley Center Fire Fund, Julian Assistance Committee, East County Fire Relief Fund, and the Ramona Fire Relief Fund at the Ramona Disaster Outreach Center (1721 Main Street). The fire relief organization After the Ashes helped connect the California Association of Mortgage Brokers with the community groups helping fire victims rebuild their lives.

The combined area of these charities cover all of east and north county San Diego. In attendance were, George Duarte (Chair of the California Association of Mortgage Brokers Community Services Committee), Rory Cambra (President of the San Diego Chapter of the California Association of Mortgage Brokers), Scott Gaffney (Western Regional Mortgage Brokers Conference Representative), Teresa Manley (the charity group coordinator), Jeaneane Colombaro, Sherry Jarrett and Julie Edwards from After the Ashes.

Afterwards a group went up to inspect where some of the worst fire damage was done.
