850 MAIN: Beauty Salon with Class

The name says it all: 850 Main. Playing off the address of the prominent Day Promenade Building in which it will soon open, the new upscale beauty salon, 850 Main, will be an impressive addition to the already-burgeoning business growth in Ramona’s historic district.

Specializing in hair, skin care and nails, the salon will feature six hairdressers and one manicurist, with a projected May opening.

"Our clients should expect good service from us all the time," says co-owner Tracy Oberlies.

Oberlies and co-owner Celia Shanahan have more than 50 years of experience between them — most recently at the China Blue Salon & Day Spa in Ramona, where Oberlies also was a co-owner.

"This will be a full-service Platinum Paul Mitchell Salon, with styling, cutting, designing, coloring, perms and everything," Oberlies said. "And, we will have Dermalogica skin-care products, a great variety of facials, micro-dermabrasion, spa manicures and pedicures with pink and white acrylics — the works! We love what we do, and we are really excited about introducing another quality salon to Ramona."

"We think our customers will really appreciate the ambience of the Day Promenade Building, too, with its unique architecture, natural lighting, background music and mix of professional and retail tenants," Shanahan added. "It’s the perfect place for an upscale salon. Also, the rear lot parking is great!"

850 Main will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, according to Oberlies and Shanahan, and will offer complimentary consultations anytime.

Limited openings are still available for stylists and manicurists.
