Lazy Suzans is definitely one of those places that could be described as having “something for everyone.”
Susan Davis carries an eclectic mix of giftware in her shop. Salt and pepper shakers line the shelves, in forms that include everything from flamingos to motor-cycles, chickens, seals, cars and mermaids and anything else imaginable.
Kitchen accessories top the list. The store offers a complete line of hand-painted ceramics with cow motifs, sunflowers, chili peppers, magnolias, grapes and, of course, apples.
“People who are doing their kitchens come in and buy a couple of items and then I show them what else is available,” Davis said.
There also is a line with cowboy accents, including a horse-head cookie jar with matching salt and pepper shakers and a napkin holder, as well as a tall cookie jar shaped like a Western boot.
Souvenirs from Julian are a specialty. Magnets and piggy banks are popular with visitors.
And just about every time you go in, there will be something new. If you can‘t find what you‘re looking for, Davis will be glad to order it.
“It’s always changing,” she said of her store’s inventory.
Davis opened Lazy Suzans in July 2003 at 2000 Main St., Ste. 104. Give her a call at (760) 765-0859.
