Thornbury, Battaglia Win Junior Rodeo Events

Two Ramona youngsters won events at the California Junior Rodeo Association competition Aug. 14 at the Lakeside Rodeo Grounds.

Jimmy Dean Thornbury won in the Junior Boys Breakaway Roping, and Markie Battaglia took first place in the Senior Steer Stopping.

Thornbury had a time of 4.28 seconds on his run, while Battaglia won his event with a time of 3.75 seconds.
