By Bobbi Zane

Kinney Productions, headed up by Scott and Deborah Kinney, longtime producers of the Pine Hills Dinner Theater will present A Christmas Carol at the Julian Town Hall for three weekends in December.

The classic Dickens story of a lonely, miserable, hard-hearted old man who finds the true meaning of life and love during one haunted Christmas Eve was adapted and directed by Don Winslow.

The show will run every Friday through Sunday until December 19. Curtain is 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday evenings with Saturday and Sunday matinees scheduled at 2 p.m. Tickets: Adults $15, Children 12 & under $8.

Three weekend performances Dec. 3 and 4 have been designated as fundraisers for Julian Pathways, a nonprofit organization that helps families in the community cope after the Cedar Fire losses. Tickets for the fundraiser are $35.

The Kinneys have producing plays in the Julian area since 1982, mostly as a dinner theater in the Pine Hills Lodge. Over the years the productions have included mysteries, musicals, comedies, dramas, and concerts. The company has made A Christmas Carol an annual tradition. Performers are recruited from the local community and include many Julian children.

Tickets available at: Cabbages & Kings, Lucias, Julian Yesteryears, Oakwood Creek, the Julian Lodge, and The Candied Apple Pastry Co. For information contact Kinney Productions at (760) 765-2119.
