THE OSWALT HOME

The four-story home of Carol and Charles Oswalt, built in 1989, has been completely redecorated by the couple, who have given their home a designer look, with faux painting by Carol, and custom wood accents by Charles. Mexican saltillo tile patio at the front entrance extends through the entryway to the living room fireplace hearth. The saltillo tile combines with a green leaf patterned berber carpet and faux painted moss-covered walls to create a garden room effect. Formal window treatments accentuate the bay window.

THE SMITH HOME

The Rancho San Vicente home of Doreen and Steven Smith has been beautifully upgraded, and many unique antique and country style accents can be found in this home. A verdigris quail weathervane sits atop the tile roof over the garage, and the front doors contain decorative glass insets. Inside, a red oak laminate plank floating floor is warm and welcoming, and the entry has a custom made Tiffany-style light fixture that looks beautiful at night through the glass front doors. The kitchen has plentiful oak cabinetry with antique-look drawer pulls; there is a functional hanging pot rack, a Corinthian solid surface countertop, and the tile is Italian porcelain.

THE OWEN & DOTSON HOME

This condo in the Villas II was completely remodeled by owners Bill Owen and Joan Dotson in 2000, taking six months to complete, and the result is a stylish, contemporary home. There are all new dual-paned windows, doors, cabinetry and flooring, and the beautiful views combine with floral decor to create the feeling of a serene garden.

The brickwork on the front entrance step, and the herringbone pattern of the patio, were both designed by Bill. The patio has an extra wide railing, and is a perfect place for outdoor dining or just relaxation, with the table area surrounded by a colorful patio garden and a priceless view of the golf course.

THE JANSON HOME

The beautiful southwestern style home of Barbara and Larry Janson was completed in October, 2001. Larry designed the floorplan for this very distinctive home, which sits on a 3/4-acre view lot. The interior design came from Barbara, with advice from friends, and their contractor. The landscaping makes wonderful use of rocks and southwestern vegetation, and a flagstone front patio welcomes visitors. Inside, the earth-toned ceramic tile floor leads to a fabulous and functional kitchen. Single-slab granite counters accentuate a kitchen island, and the rustic alder-finished cabinetry feature Santa Fe-style accents. An extensive collection of southwestern-style art and collectibles can be found throughout this home.
