Gallery to Host Arts Festival

Paintings by prominent Julian artists Annie Dover and Stan Goudy will highlight the annual Santa Ysabel Art Festival set for May 21 and 22 at the Santa Ysabel Gallery.

Each year the festival which draws a large crowd celebrates spring and all the arts including music, poetry, sculpture, painting, photography, ceramics, woodwork, and fiber art.

The setting, surrounding the historic gallery is bucolic. Guests can picnic on the gallery grounds while listening to music and poetry readings. About 50 artists will display works in booths surrounding the gallery.

The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days. Admission is free. For information call (760) 765-1676.
