Vegetable Garden Planting Tip

When spacing two different crops, calculate the average size of the two recommended distances (see package or gardening books), assuming they will reach full size at the same time. If your crops don't mature simultaneously, that's okay. According to the National Gardening Association, crops that finish early in the season, like spinach, can be planted near ones that mature slowly, like tomatoes.
