The Ramona Rotary Thanks the Community

The Ramona Rotary’s Fo urth of July celebration was such a success this year. This is truly a reflection of the community involvement on so many levels. I'd like to recognize and acknowledge some of those who participated.

New to the event this year was the help from ROARS. Ramona Outback Amateur Radio Society, coordinated by Don Scott, brought a team of people who provided significant and effective supplemental security control of the “off limits areas.” Thank You.

We had so many freebies, many are yearly repeats...Hawthorne provides generators, without these we have no electricity for the vendors! Piva allowed us to use their scissor lift to hang the banner across Main St. and One Stop provided us with a boom lift for the many aerial tasks we need to accomplish. The stage this year was a flat bed truck courtesy of Diamond D Feeds and we used some straw bales for decoration which came from Kahoots. Thanks to all of you who contributed in every way.

Thank you for the hundreds of man hours from hardworking volunteers. Thank you to those community members who donated thousands of dollars making this event possible. Thank you to the dance groups who provided some entertainment. Thank you to the ROTC members who took the time to honor us as a color guard. Thank you Mr Castberg for singing The Star Spangled Banner. Thank you to all the kids who participated in our games. Thank you to the vendors for providing the variety of food and activities.
