High School Scholarship Fundraiser Set for Nov. 5

Mark your calendars for the inaugural Miner’s Blowout — a Julian High School scholarship fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 5, sponsored by the Julian Woman’s Club.

Participants are invited to join miners Priscilla and Keith Webb at the Webb Mine from noon to 4 p.m. for hors d’oeuvres, “miner’s grog” and a barbecue.

The event will feature a silent auction from noon to 3 p.m., as well as games and prizes for all. Other highlights include Miss Julian Eireann Hutchinson, the sounds of the Stamets Family and music by Whiskey Ridge.

Attendees are asked to dress the part in denim or miner’s attire. Prizes will be awarded for Best Dressed Miner and Best Dressed Miner’s Lady.
