| The Ramona Kiwanis chapter installed new officers at its annual installation dinner Sept. 25. New officers are Bob Hailey, president; Darrell Beck, past president; Eddie Bacorn, president-elect; Mary Halliday, secretary; Peter Casalegno, treasurer. The board of directors includes Carol Bazinet, Dotty Cronin, Pat Bell, Charlie Teichert and Martha Lough. All were installed by outgoing Lt. Governor Liz Carpenter of Division 37.

The Bone Marrow Drive powered by George Romero was sponsored by the San Diego Blood Bank, National Marrow Donor Program and Ramona Rotary Club. George is a 28 year Ramona resident and the father of three children: Erika, Tyler and Beau. He is a former Army National Guard Officer and a current member of the Ramona Rotary Club. He has Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL).
