Mark your calendars for the inaugural Miner’s Blowout, set for Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Webb Mine. The Julian High School scholarship fundraiser is sponsored by the Julian Woman’s Club.

Join miners Priscilla and Keith Webb from noon to 4 p.m. at the mine for hors d’oeuvres, miner’s grog and a barbecue. The event will include a silent auction from noon to 3 p.m., as well as games and prizes for all.

Visit with Miss Julian Eireann Hutchinson and enjoy the sounds of the Stamets Family and music by Whiskey Ridge.

Please dress the part in denim or miner’s attire. Prizes will be awarded for Best Dressed Miner and Best Dressed Miner’s Lady.

Admission is $25 per person, and the reservation and ticket-sales deadline is Monday, Oct. 24. Tickets are sold at Julian Tea and Cottage Arts, 2124 Third St., Julian, or send a check to the Julian Woman’s Club, P.O. Box 393, Julian CA 92036.
