Teen Read Week

The Ramona Branch is celebrating Teen Read Week, October 17-22. Teen Read Week is the national adolescent literacy initiative of the Young Adult Library Services Association. This year's theme, ‘Get Real!’ encourages teens to explore the world of nonfiction books, such as biographies, self-help books, strange but true stories, and more. The Library is hosting a “Ramona Teens Favorites” book display and sponsoring an essay contest. Teen participants are being asked to write a 2 page autobiographical essay/memoir. Participants will receive prizes and read from their essays at a culminating pizza party on October 20 at 6 p.m at the Library.
