Julian Community Events for December

Santa Claus is coming to town! Santa will be at the Julian Town Hall from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2. Be ready to take your picture with Santa and don’t forget to tell him what you want for Christmas!

Kinney Productions will present “A Christmas Carol” Dec. 2-3, 9-10, and 16-18 at the Julian Town Hall. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the curtain is at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights; a Sunday matinee will be offered at 2 p.m. Dec. 18. Admission is $10 for adults and $6 for children. The Julian Woman’s Club is hosting its annual Holiday Home Tour on Friday, Dec. 9. Tour country homes in the Julian area and support a scholarship fundraiser for local high school seniors. There will be two tour times, 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., and it will take approximately three hours to view all five homes. Transportation will be provided by Julian Woman’s Club members. The cost is $15 per person.

The Town Hall Crafters will hold its Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 9-11 in the downstairs of the Julian Town Hall. Get an early start on your holiday shopping with these one-of-a-kind gifts.

The Julian Community Choir will perform Handel’s “Messiah” at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 18 at the Julian Town Hall. Admission is free and seating is limited, so be sure to arrive early to ensure seating availability.

Every Saturday until Christmas, the Wandering Julian Carolers will be present in the Julian town site from 4 to 6 p.m. In addition, the Living Nativity can be seen at 5:30 p.m. on Saturdays in front of the Julian Cider Mill, on the corner of Main and B streets. Come experience a little bit of Julian’s Country Christmas.

Look forward to a Christian Community Christmas Dinner at the Hillside Community Church the week of Christmas. St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, the Community United Methodist Church and the Hillside Community Church will join together in the celebration of Christ’s birth.
