Senior Center Presents Annual Awards

The Ramona Senior Center held its annual recognition and awards luncheon Dec. 30.

The awards are presented annually to recognize all the hard work and dedication of so many volunteers that make the centers programs possible. Executive Director Ray Cardona and Board of Directors president Jan Norton conducted the program and presented the awards.

Certificates of recognition went to Judy Ginn of the Ramona Ramblers; Joyce Visintainer who runs the weekly Bingo program; Lillian Cardona of the monthly Bargain Corner, as well as the Back Country Quilters; and Dudley’s Bakery for their contributions.

A lifetime achievement award was presented to Juanita Adams to monthly bargain corner.

The following seniors were presented with certificates recognizing them for their daily volunteer services to the center: George Newman, Pat Hogan, Marion Hattrup, Charlie Jackson, John Ralph, Mike Deleonardo, June Edwards, Mary Black, Audrey Tunmore, Hazel Cardwell, Joyce Poston, Rosemary Ponchitti and Pat Wilson.

Volunteers of the Year went to Tom and Connie Parham. This award is decided by a vote of the entire membership of the Senior Center.
