McDonald Kiwanis Scholarship

The Kiwanis Club of Ramona has established an annual memorial scholarship in honor of its founder, past president and past Governor Glae McDonald. McDonald, who passed away on Oct. 12, 2005 was active in almost every worthwhile community service project in Ramona and served as principal of Ramona Elementary School for many years. the annual "Ramona Kiwanis Glae McDonald Memorial Scholarship" will be presented to a student who plans to pursue a career in education. His widow, Jean McDonald, has been invited to participate in the selection and presentation of the award each year. Pictured are Jean McDonald and Kiwanis president Bob Hailey.
