One Stop Equipment Rental A Tradition of Customer Service and Community Support

Allan Perry enjoys playing with his "toys" at One Stop Equiptment.
By Jim Evens

Allan Perry loves his job. And why not? Every day he gets to go out and play with his oversized "toys" in a virtual sandbox of skid loaders, compact track loaders, compact excavators, telescopic handlers, asphalt pavers, forklifts, backhoes and more. What more could a guy want!?! Perry, 55, is general manager and senior vice president of Ramona's One Stop Equipment Rental and Landscape Supply Centers, and his "toys," of course, are the real thing - heavy construction equipment designed to tackle virtually any construction project and "built to go the distance."

One Stop Equipment and Landscape Supply Centers provide full service equipment rentals, equipment sales, and landscape and construction materials featuring brand-name equipment, bulk and bagged landscape materials, masonry products, block, brick, rock, sand, soils, cement and cart-a-way concrete trailers. The company also is an authorized dealer for Gehl Construction Equipment, Towmaster trailers, Arrowhead Hydraulic Hammers & Tools, Multiquip Construction Products and Gearmore Implements for construction and agriculture and also offers a selection of used equipment and vehicles.

Outstanding customer service has always been the company's mainstay and is probably the reason it has enjoyed such a stellar reputation for more than 23 years. One Stop offers full service, parts, and factory-trained service technicians and is open seven days a week for the convenience of its customers.

Perry, a native of El Cajon, has been working in the heavy equipment rental business for more than 38 years - the last three in Ramona - and is widely known for his expertise in rentals, sales, materials, and construction trades He graduated from El Cajon High School and from San Diego State University with a degree in socialogy and a minor in business administration. A single parent since 1989, he has raised two sons and a daughter, who all live in the area.

A family-owned business headed by John and Carolyn Souza, One Stop grew out of its original two stores, Poway Pomerado Equipment Rental and Ramona Equipment Rental, and

now has three convenient locations to cover San Diego, Riverside, Imperial, Orange and Los Angeles counties. The newest location opened at 2366 Main St, (Hwy 67) in Ramona in December 2005, (760) 789-8050; the original flagship store is still located at 254 Pine Street (Hwy 78) in Ramona, (760) 789-8010; and the Poway store is located at

12770 Oak Knoll Road in Poway, (858) 748-4848. The stores are open Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to

5:30 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and deliver anywhere in Southern California.
