Ramona Artists Open Studio Tour Set for April 8-9

Now in its fourth year, the Ramona Artists Open Studio Tour, a Ramona Chamber of Commerce- sponsored event showcasing local talent, has become a highly anticipated and well-attended art event when Ramona artists open their studios to visitors. Set for April 8 and 9, 16 local artists invite the public into 14 private studios to visit with the artists and view their work. Purchases are optional. Six studios are located in San Diego Country Estates and eight are located throughout Ramona.

Visitors will see artwork in a variety of media that includes painting, mosaics, jewelry, art to wear, woodworking, pottery and photography. Artists on the self-guided tour are woodworker Jim Berger, painter Susan Bainbridge, potter Antonia Cosentino, potter Donna Davis, painter/wearable art Marielouise Ertl, painter Josepha Hegan, potter Dave Lambert, painter Isabel McCauley, quilted fine artist Jean McLaughlin Cowie, stained glass and glass artist Bob Nabours, painter Judy Nachazel, photographer Carolyn Nespolo, mosaic artist Gwen Pellecchia, painter Joyce Stark, jewelry designer Jil Streed and porcelain artist Richard White.

Tickets are $10 with a full color brochure with map, available weekdays at the Ramona Chamber of Commerce office, 960 Main St.; Daniel's Liquor and Deli, 1350 Main St.; Daniel's West, 17718 state Route 67; Olde Ramona Hotel Gallery, 845 Main St.; and at the studios on the days of the event.
