Intermountain Volunteer Fire Department receives continued support from Barona, Viejas and Sycuan Bands of Indian Missions in the form of a $25,000 grant that will be used to drill a water well. Since the station opened in June 2005, neighbor Ken Wood has been supplying the department's water needs. Shown here are, from left: council member Edwin Romero, of the Barona Band of Mission Indians; Intermountain Fire Chief Cary Coleman; council member Alan Barrett, of the Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians; and alternate Adam Day, of the Sycuan Band of Kumeyaay Indians.
