Ramona Country Fair Coming Soon...

Ramona Country Fair, now in its 35th year, is ready to kick off Aug. 3 and run through Aug. 6. It takes place at Ramona Outdoor Community Center, 421 Aqua Lane, and runs concurrent with the Junior Livestock Show.
Ramona Chamber of Commerce sponsors the Country Fair.
Volunteers from the community are responsible for seeing to its success. Vince Franano is chairing the event. Tracy Turner is in charge of the vending booths and fair activities. There will be contests and exhibits for arts and crafts as well as various foods, such as cakes,cookies, pies, pickles, jams and jellies. "The Country Fair has something for everyone," Franano said.
Musical performances will be ongoing through the four days in the ROCC pavilion. "The live entertainment will consist of local dance talent, country and western, rock 'n' roll, ballads and blues, jazz, Mexican music and karaoke," Franano said. Special activities for children are planned. Discount bracelets for carnival rides are available at local merchants and the chamber office, 960 Main St.
Craft and merchandise vendors will offer a broad variety of hand-crafted and unique trinkets, jewelry, ornamental items, wood carvings, leather goods, clothing, hats, and toys, among other items for sale.
Food booths will feature funnel cakes, blossom onions, Indian fry bread, barbecued beef, Mexican food, kettle corn, and the old standbys of hot dogs and hamburgers.
There is no admission charged for the fair. Parking is $1 and will benefit local youth organizations.
