Evans Promoted to Captain

Cameron P. Evans, 37, son of Jim and Jacquie Evans of Ramona, has been promoted to the rank of captain in the Marine Corps, effective June 1, 2006. Evans, a 17-year veteran of the Marine Corps, is currently stationed with the Marine Wing Headquarters Squadron 1 (MWHS1) in Okinawa, Japan. He previously received three meritorious promotions as an enlisted man and graduated from Officers Candidate School on Dec. 14, 2001, in Quantico, Va.
