Merchants Open House Is Festive Event

Visitors to the Julian Merchants Association monthly open house, held on June 19 at the Stonewall Stores, enjoyed a festive evening.

Shop owners put out an array of tantalizing hors d'oeuvres and beverages and most offered discounts on merchandise. Tina Martin conducted an informal wine tasting at Witch Creek.

Shops welcoming visitors included Mountain Gypsy, Hog Heaven and Enrichments, plus Soups and Such/Flowers by Lani.

Organized by Pat Richardson, owner of Enrichments, this was the sixth in a series of monthly open house events sponsored by the Julian Merchants Association. Held on the third Monday of the month, they are designed to generate business in town from the local community.

The next open house will be at Mountain Beadworks on July 17. They are located at located at 3411 Highway 79 (one mile south of Julian). For information about this event, contact Patty Strong at (760) 765-3100.
