It took all summer for it to get here, but it's finally fair time.

One of the last great ways to say goodbye to summer is having a good time at Ramona's Country

Fair Days.

The Ramona Chamber of Commerce presents the 36th annual Country Fair Days from Thursday, Aug. 3 through Sunday, Aug. 6 at the Fairgrounds at Fifth and Aqua in Ramona.

The fair will offer visitors a weekend filled with entertainment, live music, events, games, animals, vendor booths, crafts, a tractor display and of course, traditional fair food.

Vince Franano, Country Fair Days chairman, promises the fair will feature the best entertainment possible.

Admission to the fair is free, in keeping with the chamber's mission of "service to the community." Fair parking is $1. All fees will be donated to the Ramona Parks and Recreation Association and other non-profit groups who assist with traffic control.

The August fair has been held along with the Ramona Junior Fair's livestock show and auction for years, giving residents the opportunity to enjoy a slice of small-town life. Fair hours are Thursday 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Friday 5 p.m. to midnight; Saturday noon to 11 p.m.; and Sunday noon to 10 p.m.

The carnival will be open on all days. However, it will open mid-afternoon on Saturday and Sunday.

For questions about fair events, visit www.ramonafair.com or call the chamber office at 760-789-1311.
