Free Parking for First 500 at the Fair

The Ramona Country Fair Days committee will mark Community Appreciation Day by giving free parking and goodie bags to the first 500 patrons on Aug. 4.

"After the first 500 cars are parked, it's back to guests paying $1 for parking," said Robin Rose, Ramona Country Fair ticket coordinator. The Ramona Fair Grounds are located at 5th and Aqua Lane.

Goodie Bags

The goodie bags - which will include calendars, pens, key chains, coupons and gift certificates are being assembled by volunteers at the Ramona Senior Center. Sponsors of the giveaway include, Brockmire Plumbing, RAE Automotive/ Main Street Auto Care, Greiner Buick Pontiac GMC, ReMax, Arbonne International, Juice Plus, Team4Life, Home Loan Experts, Ramona Home Journal/ Julian Guide, Progressive Technologies Group, GLG REO, Countrywide Home Loans, Log Home Castles, The Clendenen Group, San Diego County Vintners Association, Ramona Florist and the Ramona Sentinel.

"We are happy with the response from everybody," said Kathy Smiley, Ramona Country Fair volunteer coordinator.

Smiley added that Community Appreciation Day is a way of the local business saying thank you to the community for its support throughout the year.

The fair is set for Aug. 3-6 and admission is free. Presale ride tickets are available at the following locations: the Ramona Chamber of Commerce, 960 Main St.; Albertsons, 1459 Main St.; Diamond D, 444 D St.; and Ramona Pharmacy, 677 Main St.
