156th Walk/Run Looking for Participants

The Julian Eagles Booster Club is organizing its annual 5k and 10k Walk/Run and Kids 1k for November 4th.

The event usually attracts about 300 participants, ready for a little competition, lots of fresh air and some sightseeing through Julian.

The event provides many divisions, a spectacular course and "Tastes of Julian" drawing prizes. In addition, the "famous" Booster Club apple muffins, fresh fruit, water and juice will be provided to all participants.

The Walk/Run begins at the Julian High School parking lot on Highway 78. The course winds down Main Street, Farmers Road and eventually ends at the finish line at the high school track.

Proceeds help support the high school through the purchase of equipment and uniforms for athletes. Money is also used for scholarships and other activities through the Associated Student Body.
