The Grammy-nominated Westwind Brass Ensemble will perform at the Charles Nunn Performing Arts Center in Ramona at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 11.

The Westwind Brass has played internationally and across the United States. The group is known for its ability to perform the spectrum of brass music.

The ensemble has captured prizes at two international brass competitions and is on the touring roster of the California Arts Council.

This program will include classical, pop and jazz, plus a commissioned work by Emmy award-winning TV and film composer Bruce Broughton. The work titled "Three American Portraits," is a result of a commissioned grant award from the James Irvine Foundation.

Virtuosic ensemble performance, interesting music, unique stories and engaging interaction with the audience will make the Westwind Brass concert a delightful evening.

Westwind Brass has developed programs and master classes for students of all ages. They have seven CDs and are accomplished composers and publishers of music for the brass player. The ensemble has been performing together for 20 years.

The Charles Nunn Performing Arts Center is located on Hanson Lane. Non-concert season members may attend with a single performance ticket purchased at the door for $15. There are three concerts left in the season and pro-rated season tickets will also be available for $21. For additional information, please call 760-789-7474 or 760-789-6463.
