By Amber Ward

Roger Hedgecock aired his show live from Apple Alley Bakery in September.

Sponsored by the Building Industry Association of San Diego, KOGO AM Radio 600 broadcasted the show from Julian to support the recovering community from the fires of 2003.

Some of the topics discussed were: town recovery, those who helped and today's status; fire prevention; the Julian/Cuyamaca ballot proposition to build a new fire station; the Grape Stomp; the Miss Julian Pageant; and the ADA Lawsuit.

Several residents broadcasted their experiences and opinions live, including Arlene Howe, a disabled member of the community.

Hedgecock was accompanied by Michael Hart, from the Julian News. It was a great turnout, and local businesses that participated in the on-air giveaways were mentioned on the radio.
