Palomar Pomerado Health Closes Escrow On Ramona Property For New Medical Center Palomar Pomerado Health (PPH) has cleared a major hurdle, closing escrow on a 2.6-acre lot in Ramona. The $2.4 million property will be the future home of a PPH satellite medical center. The property is located on Main Street between 13th and 14th Streets. Once completed, the satellite medical center will offer health and wellness services such as urgent care, physician offices, and outpatient diagnostic testing. "When voters passed Proposition BB, we made a promise to the Ramona Community to bring them the highest level of quality health care," said Marcelo Rivera, M.D., Chairman of the PPH Board of Directors. "We are excited and pleased to honor that commitment. Ramona will soon have expanded health services and convenient access to quality medical care," said Rivera. The health district's administrative team spent nearly two years working with a Citizen's Advisory Committee formed in Ramona to help research and identify viable properties for the satellite medical center. Architectural designs, planning and construction will be completed over the course of the next three years. Palomar Pomerado Health, California's largest public health district, is North County's most comprehensive health care delivery system, recognized for clinical excellence in cardiac care, women's services, cancer, orthopedics, trauma, rehabilitation and behavioral health services. Facilities include Palomar Medical Center, Pomerado Hospital, Villa Pomerado, and Palomar Pomerado Home Care.
