Survey of Ramona Horse Owners

The Ramona Equine Industry Network (REIN) will distribute a survey in December to ask local horse owners about themselves and their horses.

It is designed to help determine the needs, interests and economic impact of local equine owners (horses, ponies, mules and donkeys).

This REIN survey is designed to collect information from all owners to provide a summary of responses that reflects all the different horse disciplines and activities. The summary information from this survey will be provided to county officials, developers, businesses and local planning officials to help make decisions that consider Ramona equine owners.

Many community planning decisions are based on economics. It is known that equine owners in Ramona contribute to the local economy and way of life in Ramona. For example, feed stores, trailer suppliers, fencing companies, building material suppliers, veterinarians auto mechanics and others are all supported in part by horse owners. Results from this survey will tell how much they contribute and in what ways.

REIN is requesting one survey from each household that owns an equine. Every survey received is important. A high number of completed surveys helps to increase the reliability of the data. Additionally, a high response rate shows local planners that Ramona horse owners care about development and lifestyle in the community.

The REIN Horse Owner's Survey is available to print or complete online at www.reinramona.com. Copies will be mailed to horse club members and will also be available at local feed stores. The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete. Responses are anonymous. Individual responses only will be used to produce group summaries of the responses.
