The Julian High School Theater Art will present the musical, "Damn Yankees" March 22-24. Based on the novel, "The Year the Yankees Lost the Pennant" by Douglass Wallop, "Joe Boyd" sells his soul to the devil ("Mr. Applegate")

so he and his favorite team, the Washington Senators, can win the pennant. "Joe" becomes a sports superstar who can only escape his pact with "Mr. Applegate" by returning to his wife before 9 p.m. on the final game day. If he fails, his soul is gone forever.

Directed by Don Winslow and Garnett Riney, "Damn Yankees" promises to deliver a good laugh. Four show times are scheduled: 7 p.m. March 22-24 and 2 p.m. March 24.

"Damn Yankees" tickets are available at the Julian High School Theater, Jack's Grocery, Wynola Pizza, Soups & Such, Mountain Gypsy and at the Julian High School office. Admission is $12 for adults and $6 for children. For more information, contact the school at 760-765-0606.
