After having its raced moved from San Felipe to Ensenada, the 21st Annual Tecate SCORE Baja 250 featured a field of 393 competing in the 216-mile race.

Round Two of the six-race 2007 Desert Series was held March 10. The race ended in Santa Tomas, where 288 racers crossed the finish line.

Defending SCORE Desert Series season point champions Danny Prather of Ramona, Mike Cafro of Carlsbad, Levi Marana of Hemet and Marc Spaeth of Warner Springs were ATV overall winners with a time of 4:31:54 at an average speed of 47.72 mph on their Honda TRX450R.

"We just had a great ride. The bike was working flawless. Everybody did their homework on this race. Our pits were like clockwork, gas-and-go at every pit," Prather said.

Cory Evenson took third place in Class 21 motorcycle.

"This is the first pro race I've done with SCORE," said Evenson. "Yeah, it was great, a lot of fun. I don't think we had any problems. We missed one weekend up here only because we were over in San Felipe but mostly got it squared away."

Other Ramona participants were Dan Walsh on a Kawasaki KX450 with a time of 4:31:01 in Class 22 and Buff Herman, who rides with Jerry Larimore of Temecula, in a Ford F-150 Trophy Truck for a time of 4:18:37. Dean Sharpe, who rides with Jesse Sharpe of Escondido, and Denis Boulter of El Cajon, came in with a time of 4:44:13 on a XR650R.
