Warner Community Resource Center Awarded Grant

The Warner Community Resource Center has been awarded a $12,000 grant to design and implement outreach activities aimed at educating communities about the importance of conserving energy.

"Flex Your Power" is a comprehensive marketing and outreach campaign targeted to rural communities.

Director Myrtle Cassell and program aide Lee Ann Mangels, both of the Warner Community Resource Center, both said that they were pleased to have been selected to participate in the campaign.

"We are all working together to achieve a common goal: to protect the environment for future generations by changing to more energy-efficient practices now," Cassell said.

They added that their agency has some great activities planned to promote energy efficiency, including the 11th Annual Health Exp/Cultural Gathering, community presentations, pledge card launch and more.
