The Ramona Bar Association to Sponsor Consumer Law Day The Ramona Bar Association is sponsoring Consumer Law Day, July 28. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the lobby of the Day Promenade Building at 850 Main Street. Ramona residents are invited free of charge to meet individually with attorneys to discuss various consumer-related and other legal issues. Local attorney Elizabeth Arleo will be available to discuss debt collector and creditor harassment. Attorney Lilys McCoy of McCoy, Turnage & Robertson will discuss credit-reporting issues under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Attorney Gregory Babbitt of Rosner & Mansfield will discuss potential claims under the "Lemon Law" Act. Brandon Weiner, from the San Diego-based non-profit consumer advocacy organization "UCAN," will be available to answer questions. In addition to consumer questions, local attorneys and Ramona Bar Association members Walter Pinkerton, Jr. will be available to discuss estate planning and Clytie Koehler will answer questions regarding social security disability appeals, grandparent guardianships and landlord-tenant issues. The Ramona Bar Association is comprised of a group of attorneys, practicing in a host of different legal fields, who promote the public's legal interests in Ramona.
