Bennett Foundation Awards Scholarships

Four $1,000 scholarships were recently awarded to some of Julian High School's graduating seniors. The recipients were Gina Beckman, Laura LaChusa, Lisa Morgan and Julie Whirlow.

Thanks to the generosity of the Julian community, and their donations at the Bennett Foundation-sponsored flu shot clinic, these awards were double the usual amount. Special thanks goes to the Julian Medical Clinic staff for its assistance at this clinic.

The Bennett Foundation honors the late Sam and Greta Bennett, who worked for more than 20 years in the Julian community providing food, clothing, medical and spiritual support. In addition to providing scholarships, an assortment of medical equipment can be obtained for short or long-term use from the supply the foundation has in storage.
