Adobe Animal Hospital recently donated two canine resuscitation kits to the San Diego Sheriff's Department Search and Rescue Canine Unit. The all-volunteer unit uses their personal dogs to assist law enforcement in searching for lost people. The resuscitation bags allow the handlers to provide high-quality medical aid to their partners in case of a respiratory emergency. Search and Rescue is accepting applications for rescue volunteers; see www.sdsar.org.
