Letter From the Julian Chamber of Commerce

I have three wishes I want to express. Wish number one is that the fires of Firestorm 2007 had failed to ignite. Wish number two is that the trials and hardships that endure from the Cedar Fire have in some way, forged an easier path for those currently on the road to recovery. Wish number three is for a 360 degree photo of downtown Julian as we are right now, today, to be placed in every inbox and mail box around the globe.

We need to respectfully thump everyone we know, and those we have yet to be formally introduced to, on the forehead (not unlike the V-8 commercial) and say, "Come up to Julian where the sun greets us by 7 a.m. and clean air and bright blue autumn skies await." I think the phrase on our visitor brochure, "Escape to Julian," is more appropriate than ever. The TV stations have been alerted and press releases continue to go out, but each one of us has the ability to magnify these efforts by being the most helpful, positive

representative of Julian we can be.

Thank you

Michael Menghini, President

Julian Chamber of Commerce
