Tired of driving down the hill for a haircut? Tired of just a haircut? Try the Salon in Pine Hills with Coco Leraas. A hair appointment with Coco promises to be an afternoon full of conversation and relaxation. Tucked away in the quaint community of Pine Hills, the Salon in Pine Hills is located at the residence of Coco and Monte Leraas. A dream come true for Coco, the Salon and her art studio have enabled her to do what she loves in the comfort of her own home.

Coco has been doing hair for more than 40 years, and even though she has a full salon right in her own home, she remains loyal to her clients at Christine's in Rancho Bernardo by making the commute twice a week to do hair. Born in Taos, New Mexico, Coco's true love is art. "Everything I do is art," she says. "Painting, sculpting, cooking, hair...its all art. It's about presentation, and hair has to go with the person."

Many may be familiar with Coco's work with stained glass and her incredible mosaics, some of which were recently displayed at the Julian Library. Her art has been featured in the San Diego Union Tribune, San Diego Home and Garden Magazine and several other notable publications. She is a colorful person who is a delight to spend the afternoon with. Whether you want a full makeover or just a trim, she can bring out the color in you.

The Salon in Pine Hills is a child-friendly salon that offers a variety of cuts, color, perms and waxing. Not to mention a full coffee, tea and wine bar for those who deserve a true hair experience and not just a cut and run.
