Seniors Qualify for Free Smoke Alarm Installation

The Burn Institute and the San Diego County Fire Chiefs' Association remind residents to change their smoke alarm batteries when they set their clocks back an hour. While daylight savings time is already on us, not everyone has remembered to change their batteries. If you are 55 or older, own your own home and do not have a working smoke alarm, you qualify for a free smoke alarm installation. Having a working smoke alarm cuts your chances of dying in a house fire by 50 percent. For more information, call the Burn Institute at 858-451-2277 or visit: www.burninstitute.org.
