Al-Anon

Alzheimer's Support Group

The Alzheimer's Support Group meets the third Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m. at the Ramona Community Center, 434 Aqua Ln. Call 760-787-0172 for more information.

Fibromyalgia Hope and Recovery Group

The San Diego Hope and Recovery Group for those who are dealing with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome and Lyme disease meets on a new day, the first Saturday of each month from 1-3 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of San Diego, 2111 Camino Del Rio South, San Diego, CA 92108. Please verify the room location prior to each meeting. Partner Support Group meets at the same time and location. Hospice

Elizabeth Hospice facilitates a free education and support group for anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one. Parent Advocates Seeking Solutions

Parent Advocates Seeking Solutions is a support group for parents of children ages 15 and older who have developmental disabilities. The group meets from 7 to 9 p.m. the third Thursday of the month at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church, 16275 Pomerado Road, Poway. For information, call 858-748-2594.

TOPS Club

Take Off Pounds Sensibly club meets at Warner Springs Community Resource Center, 30951 Highway 79. Weigh-in is at 9 a.m. and the meeting is at 9:30 every Thursday except holidays. Valley of the Sun Toastmasters

Valley of the Sun chapter of Toastmasters International meets at 7 p.m. the first three Mondays of the month at Ramona Library, 1406 Montecito Rd. Toastmasters' goal is to help members develop better speaking and presentation skills, learn to think quickly and clearly and build strong leadership abilities. Ramona Art Guild

Ramona Art Guild meets at 7 p.m. the third Wednesday of the month in the Ramona Library Community room at 1406 Montecito Rd. Ramona Women's Connection

"Triple Feature" is the theme of the Feb. 20 luncheon meeting of the Ramona Women's Connection. The "three-act show" begins at 11:30 a.m. at Ramona Sizzler, at Fourth and Main streets. The meeting features triple themes of Valentine's Day, wildfire recovery and strength in times of loss.

Ramona Christian Writers Critique Group

Ramona Writers Group

Ramona Writers Group welcomes writers of all ages and stages of life to the group's meetings every Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Ramona Community Center, 434 Aqua Ln. Those who attend are invited to read a few pages of their work in progress, including short stories, novels, poems, non-fiction work and memoirs. Comments from the group will be given. Ramona Forum

Ramona Garden Club

The Ramona Garden Club meets at noon on the second Wednesday of each month at the Ramona Woman's Club, 524 Main St. On Wednesday, Feb. 13, Jim and Edith Schade will speak about easy-to-grow irises. Ramona Woman's Club

Ramona Woman's Club special guest for the Feb. 7 meeting at 1 p.m. will be Sheriff Henry Tirado, speaking on the subject of identity theft and senior alert. The Bridge Club Card Party and Luncheon will take place at noon on Feb. 14. The Literary section will meet at

1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 11. Featured selection will be "Time Traveler" by Racheal Gilmore. The Thimble Club section meets at 10 a.m. on Feb. 21. Ramona Valley Vineyard Association

Ramona Valley Vineyard Association meets the fourth Tuesday of every month at

7 p.m. at members' homes/ vineyards. The group discusses topics such as viticultural and other matters of interest to the vineyard and winemaking community. Ramona Valley is designated as an American Viticultural Area. New members and visitors are welcome. San Vicente Valley Club

The San Vicente Valley Club's Feb. 27 meeting will feature "The Best of the Best" fashion show. Draper's and Damon's Ladies Fashions from Rancho Bernardo will present top designs of the season, including casual and fine dining apparel. Club members will model the fashions.

SVVC meets the last Wednesday of the month at the San Vicente Inn, 24157 San Vicente Rd. Social time is at 11 a.m., lunch is at noon and the presentation is at

Intermountain Republican Women Federated

Intermountain Republican Women Federated will host its 2008 Membership Tea at 10:45 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 25 at Ramona Woman's Club, 524 Main Street. KOGO morning news reporter LaDona Harvey will be the guest speaker. Membership is comprised of women from Ramona, Julian, Santa Ysabel and surrounding areas. Kiwanis of Ramona meets at 7 a.m. Saturdays at Ramona Sizzler, 344 Main St. Prospective members are invited to the weekly breakfast meetings. EVENTS

Ramona Concert Association

The All-American Boys Chorus concludes the 2007-08 Ramona Concert Association season at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m. The 36-voice internationally acclaimed troupe will present "A Salute to America's Music," featuring selections from Broadway, Gershwin, Beach Boys, Dixieland and John Philip Sousa. The concert will take place at the Charles R. Nunn Performing Arts Center, on the campus of Olive Peirce Middle School, 1521 Hanson Ln. Driver Safety Program

AARP's Driver Safety Program will be offered Feb. 11 and 18, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the San Vicente Room at the San Vicente Inn. Attendance is required both days. Tuition is $10. Insurance agencies doing business in California are required by law to provide appropriate discounts to drivers who receive the DMV certificate at completion. There is no behind-the-wheel training, only classroom instruction. Graduates have been shown to have fewer accidents and citations. Those who wish to register must contact Elliott Fox at 788-6168 prior to the first class. Class size is limited to the first 24 students whose checks are received.

Chamber of Commerce February Mixer

Ramona Pioneer Historical Society Potluck
