San Diego Landscape Contest Open To RMWD Customers
Homeowners and customers of Ramona Municipal Water District are invited to enter San Diego County's Fifth Annual California-Friendly Landscape Contest. Contest motto is "More beauty, less water." The deadline is April 7.
Judging criteria will include overall attractiveness, appropriate plant selection and maintenance requirements, climate design and efficient methods of irrigation.
Four basic steps for participation in the contest are: Tidy up your California-Friendly Landscape.
Download required application from the www.rmwd.org Web site or obtain one from the RMWD office at 105 Earlham St. during business hours, weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Gather and attach the following required items: Plant list, water bill, explanation of water savings, and from five to 10 color photos.
Finally, return completed package to Patty Bevers, c/o Ramona Municipal Water District, 105 Earlham St., Ramona CA 92065, by the contest deadline of April 7.
The water district reminds customers that water conservation benefits the community, the environment, the future water supply and the family budget.
