Rotary Club Accepting Scholarship Applications
Each year, Ramona Rotary Club offers scholarships to local graduating high school seniors. This year, the club is pleased to announce that the number of scholarships being awarded has increased to 20, ranging in amounts from $500 to $1,000.
Scholarships are awarded to deserving graduates of Ramona High School, Montecito High School, Mountain Valley Academy and Julian High School who plan to attend university, community college, trade school or technical school.
Students will be selected based not only on scholastic achievement and need, but on service to their community, fulfilling the Rotary mission, "Service Above Self."
Information and application packages are available at school counselors' offices. The deadline for submitting applications is March 21, the day before spring break.
