Cross-Country Cyclists Ride Through Julian on Fundraising Adventure

Julian is one stop on the 3,300-mile cross-country bicycle fundraiser planned by The Fuller Center for Housing, a non-profit organization providing homes for people in need.

Sponsored by Millard Fuller, Habitat for Humanity founder, The Fuller Center for Housing supporters will come from all over the country, strap on their helmets, hop on their bikes and launch from the Pacific coastline of San Diego on June 14 and ride into the Atlantic near Savannah, Ga. by mid-August.

National Trip Leader Ryan Iafigliola invites interested bicycle enthusiasts to join the caravan as it rides into Julian on June 16 and out of town towards Brawley on June 17.

"We will have about forty days of faith and purpose-driven cycling, and I truly believe it will be the adventure of a lifetime," said Iafigliola. "I feel privileged to further this important movement in this creative and exciting way."

Riders may join for the entire route, just a portion, or even just a day.

Along the way, they plan to participate in local events bringing attention to The Fuller Center's work and its message of hope during the housing crisis. The Fuller Center for Housing is an ecumenical, Christian, non-profit organization dedicated to building and rehabilitating homes for people in need.
