Miss Ramona Scholarship Pageant

Ramona Music Fest & BBQ

Ramona Rotary and Ramona Kiwanis clubs are working together to present Ramona's first Ramona Music Fest and Barbecue fundraiser on May 3. On May 19, Intermountain Republican Women Federated will hold a dinner at 6 p.m. and Candidate Forum at 7 p.m. for candidates for the 52nd Congressional District. A candidate for the 75th California Assembly District, Nathan Fletcher, will attend, as will Republican Judicial Candidates for San Diego Superior Court Office 45. Steel Magnolias at Mainstage Theatre

ACToR, Actors' Community Theatre of Ramona, presents its first full-length production, Steel Magnolias. This comedy-drama, made famous in the movie starring Dolly Parton and Sally Field, is about the bond between an eclectic group of Southern women. The show will be directed by Tony Randall and performed at Ramona Mainstage Theatre, 626 Main Street. Concert Association Season Tickets

Ramona Concert Association's bargain prices for season membership through June 1 are $25 for adults and $55 for family memberships. Single student tickets are $10. Ramona Women's Connection

The May 21 luncheon meeting of the Ramona Women's Connection has the theme "Quilts on Parade," and will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at Wynola Pizza Express, 4355 Highway 79. Betty Runnels and her quilting class students will show quilts featuring different quilting techniques. Runnels will speak on the similarities between our lives and quilting.
